Card Making & Papercraft Competition – Part 2

I thought that I would share the second card that I made for the recent Cardmaking & Papercraft Competition. I assume that the fact I have not heard anything yet means that I have not been successful but I am confident that the standard of my card entries improve each year.

When I was trying to develop my entries I found it inspiring looking back at previous blog posts as it is so easy to forget the cards that I have made in the past. I adapted the Double Concertina Card technique, that I learned at the Honey Doo Crafts workshop that I attended in August, and I resized the design to make a card which was 8 1/4 inches high. I decorated the front and inside panels of card using the Rose Trellis stamp and the Aqua Markers technique described in my earlier Rose Trellis & Aqua Markers post.

I also used the flower boarder from the Friendship Quotes stamp set, large swirl from the Flower Veins, sentiments from the Dream Sentiments set and the Antique Rose stamp to decorate the individual panels. Each panel was edged using the Aqua Marker and glycerine technique described in my Time Flies  & Aqua Markers post and coloured using the same method as the Rose Trellis.

Hopefully, this will help to inspire me to continue documenting my card making journey online, explore new techniques and revisit older techniques which I had forgotten.
