This Oh Duck! stamp from the Crafter’s Companion unmounted stamp range is perfect for cards for men and will bring a smile to many faces. I stick EZMount onto the back of all of my unmounted stamps as it makes them much easier to use than having to apply adhesive each time and enables me to attach them to clear acetate sheets in my stamp storage folders.
The cards were very simple to make and I started by stamping the main image with Smokey Gray Versafine Ink and heat embossing with clear embossing powder onto white card. I did the same with the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Forget-Me-Knot Stamp Set which is one of my favourite birthday sentiment stamps.
I then scribbled my Aqua Markers onto a non-porous craft sheet, mixed then with a little bit of water and glycerine before applying to the image with a paint brush. As you can see from the two cards you can vary the intensity of the colour by adding more water or glycerine to dilute the pigment. The glycerine gives you a little more time to move the colours about and blend them as opposed to water which dries quicker.
I then distressed the edges of the layers and assembled the cards using some hessian for texture.
