Sue Wilson Lavish Hexagons

Inspired by all of the beautiful cards made with these Sue Wilson dies on Pinterest and Facebook I added them to my birthday wish list and couldn’t wait to play with them when I opened them on my birthday. This card has a more traditional monotone colour scheme accented with glitter card and vellum flowers. I started by die cutting the hexagon dies from white card and layering them onto…

Cards for Men – Sheds

I am sure that I am not the only card maker who find making cards for men difficult so I thought that I would share these shed cards that I have made using the Lili of the Valley In the Shed stamp and some of the Autumn Morning Signature Collection by Sara Davies. I bought this stamp as an unmounted rubber  stamp from a craft fair a few years ago…

Versatile Snowdrops and Tea Cups

Like many craft bloggers I have got a backlog of card photos which have not been written up into a blog post so inspired by the snow today I thought that I would share some of the cards that I have made using the Honey Doo Crafts Snowdrops stamp set. This set is very versatile as it could be used for a wide range of occasions and does not necessarily…

Cute Snowman Christmas Cards

This is the last of my cute Christmas card collections this year featuring the Build-A-Snowman die from the Cute Christmas Signature Collection by Sara Davies. As with my previous batches of Christmas cards I die cut the snowman components from card scraps then shaped and assembled multiple snowmen using silicone glue first before making the cards. I found that the tiny elements of this die set quite fiddly so I kept…

Cute Penguin Christmas Cards

My second batch of cute Christmas cards using the Cute Christmas Signature Collection by Sara Davies is based on the Cosy Penguin die. As with the Reindeer cards I started by die cutting the penguin dies using black, white, orange and red mirror card. I then gently shaped each component using a flower shaping tool and a foam mat before layering with silicone glue. Whilst they were drying I used the…

Cute Reindeer Christmas Cards

My crafting is often very seasonal as I am inspired to make fresh floral cards in the spring, cards with a brighter colour pallet in the summer and darker autumnal coloured cards in autumn. As a result it feels strange thinking about Christmas cards when the summer sun is beaming through the window and I don’t start making Christmas cards until the first frosts of November. With approximately 50 cards…

Birthday Party Signature Collection by Sara Davies

I love using the Birthday Party Signature Collection by Sara Davies to make a stock of birthday cards which are suitable for a wide variety or recipients. I tend to make these cards in batches embossing the backgrounds in multiple colours and die cutting the coordinating birthday cake and balloon dies then assemble the cards. I have recently discovered the Sentimentally Yours Chalkboard Essentials and Frosted Essentials papers by Phil…
