Whilst I am a fan of Chloe Endean’s sparkleicious style I also enjoy using some of her dies to create subtle elegant cards and I have made a number of these flower heart cards inspired by a project in Chloe’s 3rd Project Book. I used papers from the First Edition The Promise 12″ x 12″ paper pad which offers an array of timeless luxury papers that are perfect for wedding, engagement and anniversary cards as many have a little bit of texture, pearlescent shimmer and weight to them.
I started by making the 8″ x 8″ card blank and assembling the layers for the card keeping the top layer, which measures 6.5″ x 6.5″ separate in case I made a mistake assembling the hearts. I then die cut two Flower Hearts from the pearlescent pink lightweight card stock from the First Edition paper pad and die cut the Tiny Flowers die seven times to produce the forty flowers required. I then used a foam mat to shape the flowers with the large ball embossing tool.
To assemble the heart design I first attached the Flower Heart die cuts to the card using Tacky Glue and then individually stuck each Tiny Flower using a dot of Tacky Glue to give a 3D effect. This takes a little time especially when I then add a small AB gem to the centre of each flower but creates a beautiful end result. The sentiment was die cut from the same card stock and attached using Tacky Glue and finished with a AB gem.
