I thought that I would share photos of the cards that I made at the June Honey Doo Crafts workshop on Friday. In addition to making some beautiful cards it also gave me the opportunity to catch up with Amanda, Kay and Martin from Honey Doo Crafts. They are such a friendly team and work hard to ensure that every attendee gets the most out of the workshop no matter what their level of ability.
I also liked exchanging tips and techniques with other crafters as it is always nice to see how other people approach the projects, for example the lady sitting next to me is a big fan of using colour duster brushes for ink blending which I have not tried before. As usual it was not the cheapest day out as I was tempted by multiple items from the Honey Doo shop, which they bring to each workshop, but I am sure that I will enjoy using the products and stamps for years to come.
My favourite card of the day was this acetate domed card as this was the first time that I have attached a dome to a card and I really liked the pearl finishing touches even if they were a little fiddly.
My second favourite card of the day was a handbag card as I have not made a handbag card before and liked the glittery stencil technique that we used on the vellum wrap front.
The last and by no means least was this beautiful flower frame card which used heat embossed acetate flourishes as a finishing touch to the vellum embellishments.
