Welcome Spring

Inspired by the Honey Doo Crafts workshop last week I have made two cards using the Welcome Spring stamp set which is perfect for spring birthdays as well as sending a springtime hello card.

I started by stamping the Welcome Spring Stamp onto white card using Onyx Black Versafine ink and clear embossing powder twice for each card. I coloured the boots and leaves using Aqua Markers scribbled onto a non porous craft mat and applied with a wet paint brush to give muted colour tones. The flowers were coloured using a paint made from the two mica powders and water. I then covered one pair of boots for each card with Glossy Accents, removing any bubbles with a pin, and shaping them gently.

Once the Glossy Accents was dried I cut out the boots and one set of tulip heads, which were gently shaped, then layered them onto the first image with silicone glue to give shape and dimension.

The sentiments from the Welcome Spring stamp set and the Happy Birthday from the Forget-Me-Knot stamp set were stamped onto white card using Onyx Black Versafine ink and clear embossing powder.
