Wine and Grapes

These cards use the Wine and Grapes stamp set by Honey Doo Crafts combined with their Vintage sentiment stamp and the A Bottle of Vine stamp set which was featured in my previous post.

As with the A Bottle of Vine cards I started by stamping the images and sentiments onto white card using Onyx Black Ink and heat embossing using clear embossing powder. I then coloured the images using the ColourTint by Spectrum Noir Pencils painted over with water to blend. I used Deep Mauve for the grapes and a mix of Leaf Green and Olive for the leaves then cut them out and gently shaped them.

I blended around the edge of the largest layer with Bundled Sage Distress Oxide Ink and the stamped the leaf stamp from the A Bottle of Vine stamp using the same ink. I used Milled Lavender Distress Ink to colour the  sentiments then assembled the layers with 3d foam. I like using a thin 3d foam on my cards, usually 1mm, as this gives depth to the layers without adding a lot of bulk to the card making it cheaper to post. I then attached the embellishments using Silicone glue to give them some dimension and support the gentle shaping so that they do not appear completely flat on the card.

For the second card I used the Mesh Stencil to apply Milled Lavender Distress Ink and Bundled Sage Distress Oxide Ink with a blending sponge to the card blank. I used the same inks to colour the sentiment and then assembled the card using 3d foam and Silicone glue.
